A deposit bonus looks simple: pay in, get extra. The value is in the arithmetic. This guide explains how a percentage match is calculated, shows a worked example with invented numbers and lists what to check on L89's First Deposit banner. We are the official L89 partner site, and the actual percentage, cap and wagering are on L89's own pages.
What we saw
On 5 November 2026, the L89 homepage showed a First Deposit promo banner. The percentage, cap, minimum deposit, wagering and expiry were behind the login, so we do not quote them. Use the numbers in your own account.
A worked example
These figures are invented to demonstrate the maths and are not an L89 offer. Suppose a 50 percent match with a cap of 3,000 Taka, and wagering of 10 times the bonus. You deposit 4,000 Taka. Fifty percent is 2,000 Taka, below the cap, so you receive 2,000 Taka. Wagering is 10 times the bonus, so you must stake 20,000 Taka before withdrawing bonus-related funds. If the wagering applied to deposit plus bonus (6,000 Taka), the target would be 60,000 Taka. Same offer, three times the work. That one phrase in the terms changes everything.
Notice that the bonus itself barely matters in this example; the wagering base does. When two offers have the same headline percentage, the one with the lighter base is almost always better.
The same offer, three readings
Compare how the wagering basis alters the target.
| Wagering basis | Amount to bet at 10 times | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus only (2,000) | 20,000 | Lighter |
| Deposit plus bonus (6,000) | 60,000 | Much heavier |
| No wagering on deposit, bonus only on slots | 20,000, but slots only | Check game weighting |
What to check before depositing
Run through these points on the offer page.
- Percentage and maximum bonus.
- Minimum deposit to qualify, see minimum deposit.
- Wagering multiple and what it applies to.
- Game weighting and bet-size limits.
- Expiry and maximum cash-out.
- Whether deposit methods are excluded.
Is it worth it?
Pros: more play from one payment. Cons: the extra play is conditional, and the wagering can push you to stake more than planned. If the target looks too large for your budget, decline or deposit without the offer. For more on the mechanics read wagering requirements, the welcome bonus page and the bonus hub. The reload bonus article covers later deposits.
Also set a hard stop. A target of tens of thousands of Taka in total stakes feels abstract, but each spin or bet is real spending. Decide the most you would lose while chasing the target, and walk away when you reach it, even if the counter is not finished.
Three moves
Run the maths in 3 steps
- 1Find the numbers
Note the percentage, cap, wagering multiple and wagering basis from the offer page.
- 2Calculate the target
Multiply the wagering base by the multiple to get your total required stake.
- 3Compare with your budget
Claim only if the target is realistic for you.
